Combining steel with plywood for sustainable packaging

Clip-Lok SimPak expands its product range – Steel makes our boxes more sustainable than ever

When it comes to cost-efficient, sustainable packaging solutions, Clip-Lok SimPak has partnered with the automotive industry for over 30 years. Now, we are upgrading our product portfolio on the European market to include boxes made of steel. The first launch will be in Sweden. And considering our success in the US, we anticipate a successful launch.

Sustainability meets durability

Clip-Lok SimPak is a global supplier of sustainable transport packaging. The idea behind our packaging solution is to consistently reduce the total cost for the customer while reducing our carbon footprint. In addition, we are able to meet their durability requirements, as our boxes are shock and vibration-resistant.

Plywood meets steel

In 2018, we will be introducing several new products. Our product range has historically comprised of returnable and recyclable boxes made of plywood or particleboard. Steel or plastic clips secure these boxes. We are now further enhancing our portfolio with boxes made of steel. This allows us to deliver transport packaging solutions made of nearly indestructible material. Our steel products meet the specific requirements of the automotive, defence, energy, industrial engineering, and healthcare industries. Read more.

Great success in the US

Our packaging solutions have experienced great success globally. The steel products that are now reaching Europe were launched in the US as early as 2003. There, they are in great demand. It is with this knowledge that we feel confident in introducing these steel products to Sweden. We have started a small-scale roll-out to a limited number of customers whose response proves that there is a significant need for our steel products. So we are now committing fully to this investment! Read more.
