For Clip-Lok SimPak®, no assignments are impossible
Clip-Lok SimPak® has, together with leading defence players, developed an UN-approved packaging solution in steel for road, train, sea and air transport of aviation fuel tanks. After carefully familiarising themselves with the customer’s problems, the team stated that a Clip-Lok Steel Rack optimized for existing handling equipment could solve the challenge.
An accessory kit was designed, which could easily be mounted on an existing chassis. After extensive internal tests, it was time for RISE (Research Institutes of Sweden) to seriously challenge the product.
An extensive destructive testing process proved that the new packaging solution held the measure – even in an extreme environment. The new packaging solution in steel is Scandinavian engineering at its best.
– Releasing a tank filled with technology and aviation fuel residues from a height of 1.2 meters right down into a concrete floor without the tank breaking or coming loose from its bracket. It places extreme demands on the packaging, explains Katrine Skovbjerg, Head of Product Development at Clip-Lok SimPak®.
